The Arizona Diamondbacks can secure a series win when they face the New York Yankees in the Bronx on Wednesday.

The Arizona Diamondbacks (3-2) rallied on Tuesday night to hand the New York Yankees (3-1) their first loss of the season. On Wednesday, Arizona can clinch a victory in the three-game series with another win over New York at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees got some positive news on Tuesday regarding their injury-riddled rotation, as right-hander Clarke Schmidt is expected to make his debut on April 15 or 16 after being out with rotator-cuff tendinitis. Schmidt is to make his first rehab start at Double-A Somerset this weekend. New York also signed reliever Adam Ottavino to a one-year deal on Tuesday and he pitched later that night.

Eugenio Suárez smacked a go-ahead grand slam in the top of the eighth as the Diamondbacks came from behind for a 7-5 victory on Tuesday. Corbin Carroll got them on the board with a two-run home run in the second before the Yankees took the lead in the fourth. Suárez is 5-for-18 to open the season, with all five of his hits homers to go with 11 RBIs.

The Yankees continued to hit the ball out of the park, hitting three more home runs on Tuesday to raise their season total to 18 in four games. Jasson Dominguez, Anthony Volpe and Ben Rice all went deep on Tuesday, with Volpe hitting his third of the season. Arizona did keep Aaron Judge in check, as he was 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts after bashing four long balls in New York’s three-game sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Left-hander Carlos Rodón is set to make his second start of the season for the Yankees after allowing a run on four hits with seven strikeouts in 5.1 innings against Milwaukee on Thursday to get an opening day win. Right-hander Zac Gallen gets the ball for the Diamondbacks. He surrendered four runs on four hits in four innings with four walks and four strikeouts in a loss to the Chicago Cubs on Thursday.
