Juan Soto had been in a bit of a slump lately, but he broke out of that on Saturday night to propel New York to tie this series. But the Mets shutout LA the rest of the way and broke out for a three-run fourth inning fueled by Soto after he hit a two-run double with the bases loaded. After a shaky start, David Peterson settled down, going deep into the game to improve to 3-2 on the season. Peterson only gave up five hits in 7.2 innings, giving up two runs while striking out seven.

The Mets will go for back-to-back wins by starting Kodai Senga, who is 4-3 with a very impressive 1.43 ERA. The Dodgers are expected to start Landon Knack, who is 2-1 with a 6.17 ERA.
