Looking to keep pace in a crowded National League West, the San Francisco Giants continue their 10-game road trip as they take on the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday.

National League West contenders face-off on Monday night, as the San Francisco Giants look to rebound from dropping two of three games over the weekend when they open a four-game series at Chase Field against the slumping Arizona Diamondbacks. Losers of four straight games, Arizona heads into Monday’s divisional matchup one game under .500 and 11 games behind the Dodgers in the division race. They are aiming for their first home win since June 14 after being swept by Miami over the weekend. The Giants will start right-hander Logan Webb (7-5, 2.52 ERA), who has had a dazzling June, going 2-0 with a 1.85 ERA and striking out 36 batters in 34 innings of work.

Ranked 11th in Major League Baseball and hitting a team leading .304 this season, Diamondbacks first baseman Josh Naylor saw his 13-game hit streak end on Friday and has missed the last two games with neck soreness, having officially been listed as day-to-day. The 28-year-old Ontario native is in his seventh season in the Majors and first with Arizona after signing a one-year deal to come to the Diamondbacks back in January. Naylor spent over four seasons with Cleveland, posting career-highs in home runs and RBIs for the Guardians last season.

Arizona will send righty Ryne Nelson (4-2, 3.71 ERA) to the mound in search of his third win in his last four starts, having allowed a combined two earned runs in those three outings. In his fourth year, Nelson comes into Monday just 10 strikeouts away from 300 for his career.

The series is split 5-5 over the last 10 meetings, with the Giants winning three of the last four games played in Arizona.
