The San Francisco Giants will take on the San Diego Padres in another MLB spring training game on Tuesday afternoon at Peoria Stadium Arizona. The Giants head into this week with the better record, sitting at 5-3. They tied two games in February with the Colorado Rockies and the Chicago Cubs. Over the weekend, they split their two games 1-1. They lost on Saturday to the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-5.

However, Sunday was a different story, as they took down the Los Angeles Angels 9-5. Robbie Ray was credited with his first win of spring training after pitching three scoreless innings, striking out six batters. Luis Matos went 1-for-1 on the day with the only home run of the game for San Francisco. Jerar Encarnacion had five RBIs, going 2-of-3 at the plate.

The Padres are just 3-7 heading into this week of play after 10 games. They went 3-5 in their eight games in February and lost both their opening games of the new month over the weekend. They were taken down 7-3 against the Cincinnati Reds and again on Sunday 10-4 against the Kansas City Royals.

Oscar Gonzalez has been one of the best at the plate for San Diego through 10 games. He has batted 19 times and walked away with seven hits and two RBIs. Forrest Wall leads the team as the only player with two home runs through 10 games as well.
