Then, the team from the Bay fell in an 11-5 loss in Game 2 on Saturday, followed by a 5-4 defeat in Game 3 on Sunday at Dodger Stadium. The Giants will now be looking to snap their two-game losing streak on Tuesday at home against Cleveland.
San Francisco is currently sitting in second place in the National West Division with an overall record of 41-31 so far this season. The Giants are just 2.5 games behind the Dodgers in the division standings.
However, they got an upgrade to their lineup by acquiring three-time All-Star Rafael Devers in a trade with the Red Sox on Sunday that will no doubt have an impact on the division race.
