In the first game on Monday, Kyle Hart picked up his first win of the season after pitching five innings allowing two earned runs with four strikeouts. Gavin Sheets led the offense in the win with four RBIs and two runs on a night he went 3-for-3 at the plate.

Yesterday, San Diego shut out the Guardians 7-0. Michael King put on a clinic, pitching five scoreless innings with 11 strikeouts in the win. Jackson Merrill hit the only home run for San Diego in the win, but Fernando Tatis Jr. had two RBIs despite not having a hit. Three other players had one RBI each in the shutout.

Ben Lively will get the start for Cleveland at the start of this series finale. Lively has started one game this season already and the right-hander allowed three runs on four hits in five innings with three strikeouts in a 7-4 win in extra innings against the Kansas City Royals. He brings a 5.40 ERA and a 0.80 WHIP into this start.

San Diego will start Dylan Cease on the mound to start the third game against Cleveland. The right-hander threw just 4.1 innings in his first start of the season, allowing three earned runs on four hits with seven strikeouts. He has an inflated 6.23 ERA from the .560 and .438 that he had over the last two seasons.
