Game 3 on Saturday was the closest game of this first series between these division rivals with the Guardians winning the series with a 7-5 win in 10 innings. This was actually a pretty low-scoring game until both teams went off in the 10th. Detroit scored all of its runs in regulation, if you will, in the first inning. Cleveland would go on to score seven unanswered runs including four in the final inning. Kyle Manzardo and Angel Martinez both hit RBI doubles as part of that onslaught. The Tigers would score two more on an RBI double from Gleyber Torres in the bottom of the 10th but their rally came up just short.

Before this series, Detroit was 17-5 at home. They will have a great chance at avoiding the sweep since they starting Tarik Skubal who is 4-2 with a 2.87 ERA. The Guardians will counter with Logan Allen who is also having a strong season with a 2-2 record and a 3.86 ERA.
