The Astros and Mets will play in their last matchup of the regular season today at Citi Field this afternoon.
The Astros aren’t in Queens for a long time, but apparently, they are there for a good time. The Astros beat the Mets 9-1 in the first game of this series and look for the season sweep with a win today against New York. These two played just last week in Houston and the Astros won both games. The Mets look to salvage one at home before hosting another Texas team over the weekend.

Kyle Tucker gave all the offense the Astros needed to win the opener in the first inning when he hit a three-run bomb as part of a four-run inning. Framber Valdez pitched a phenomenal game going eight innings while not giving up any runs. The Mets avoided the shutout only by scoring a run in the bottom of the ninth.
The Mets will look to split the series by starting Taijuan Walker, who is 6-2 with a 3.03 ERA. He has the unenviable task of facing off against Justin Verlander, who is 9-3 with a 2.22 ERA and well on his way to yet another All-Star appearance.
