The AL West is still up for grabs, as there’s no lack of talent, but there hasn’t been a team to run away as the top club in the division. As such, this is the type of game that feels like there’s twice as much at stake. When the end of the season comes around, there’s a decent chance one of these two teams is at the top of the standings, with margins so thin that the result of this series could be the difference.
