The Mariners bounced back in Game 2 with their offense coming alive on Saturday winning 8-4. Seattle is just now two games back of the top spot in the AL West and Toronto is one game back of New York for the top seed in the AL East. The Mariners tied this series by winning in the 12th inning by scoring five runs. This game was tied 3-3 going into extras. Randy Arozarena hit a tiebreaking single to get the 12th inning rolling. That hit ended a 0-8 slump for Arozarena. Then Rowdy Tellez absolutely broke open the game by hitting his fifth career grand slam that ended Toronto’s three-game winning streak. This game was full of fireworks from the get go with Blue Jays starter Jose Berríos chirping at Cal Raleigh after the Seattle catcher rounded third that ended the fourth inning. Both benches cleared as a result but the situation wasn’t escalated further. What is for certain is that we are in for a thrilling finale Sunday.

Seattle will start Luis Castillo who is 1-2 with a 4.22 ERA. The righty is coming off a loss against his former team in the Cincinnati Reds going 4.1 innings while giving up six runs. The Blue Jays will counter with Easton Lucas who is 2-1 with 4.70 ERA after the lefty got the loss in his last start against the Atlanta Braves giving up eight runs in five innings.
