The Seattle Mariners red hot offense is back in action on Wednesday afternoon in the third game of a four-game series against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.

Over the last few weeks the Seattle Mariners (41-37) offense has been one of the best in baseball. They’ve scored at least six runs five games in a row, and over the last 15 days have scored 78 runs in 13 games – which ranks as the fifth-most in Major League Baseball and the third-most in the American League. They’ll try to keep it up on Wednesday when they take on the Minnesota Twins (37-42) at Target Field in the third game of a four-game series.

The Mariners’ most recent game on Tuesday was, relatively speaking, a step back for their offense. Their 6-5 win saw them score their fewest runs in five games. Five of those runs were bunched together in the third inning and then the final one came in the top of the ninth when Julio Rodriguez delivered a sacrifice fly that ended up being the game-winning run.

That was in contrast to the series opener, which the Mariners won 11-2. They hit four home runs in that game, including one from catcher Cal Raleigh, who now leads Major League Baseball with 32 home runs this year – including six in the last week. Rodriguez, first baseman Luke Raley, and right fielder Dominic Canzone also all homered.

First pitch for Wednesday’s game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. ATT ROOT Sports Northwest Main will have the coverage of all the action.
