The Mets look to clinch a series win on Saturday afternoon when they play the Cardinals in St. Louis.

The New York Mets battle the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday afternoon in the second game of their three-game series. The Mets snapped a two-game losing streak on Friday night when they beat the Cardinals 9-3 in the series opener. The Mets trailed early in the game, but they scored four runs in the top of the fifth inning to take back the lead and they never looked back. Pete Alonso hit a two-run home run in the fifth and Brandon Nimmo added a solo shot in the seventh to pace the Mets. Saturday the Mets will turn to Tylor Megill on the mound. Megill has pitched well for the Mets this season as he has a 1.74 ERA and a 3-2 record. The Mets, though, have lost three of his last four starts. In his last start he went six and a third innings and gave up three runs on three hits against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
