Miami Marlins, living by the walkoff to open the season, open a 3-game series with the visiting New York Mets on Monday

The Miami Marlins (3-1) posted 10 walkoff wins during their 62-100 campaign in 2024. Four days into the new season, the Marlins already have won three times via the walkoff and on Monday open a three-game series with the New York Mets (1-2) at loanDepot park in Miami. The Mets come off a rare Sunday off-day after dropping two of three to the Houston Astros in their first series of the season. Miami is playing for its third manager in four seasons after Clayton McCullough replaced Skip Schumaker after last season.

Francisco Lindor is 0-for-11 to open the season.

Right-hander Cal Quantrill is scheduled to make his Marlins debut on Monday after he was 8-11 with a 4.98 ERA and 1.52 WHIP in 29 starts and 148.1 innings for the Colorado Rockies last season.
