Clay Holmes cruised to victory, improving to 7-3, giving up only one run even though he gave up nine hits in six innings while striking out six. The Mets bullpen shut down the Rockies, only giving up one hit the rest of the game.

The Rockies will try to avoid the sweep by starting their promising high-draft pick rookie Chase Dollander, who is 2-5 with a 6.26 ERA. The Mets will counter with Tylor Megill, who is 4-4 with a 3.77 ERA.
