The Milwaukee Brewers will take on the Cincinnati Reds to begin this week of MLB spring training on Monday night at Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, Arizona. The Reds take the field with the better ready through nine games. They are 5-3 with a tie against the Arizona Diamondbacks last week. After finishing 3-3 last month, they picked up two wins over last weekend to begin March. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the San Diego Padres on Saturday.

Yesterday, they were able to beat the Chicago Cubs, also 7-3. Jake Fraley and Blake Dunn homered in the win.

The Brewers are just under the .500 record at 4-5 heading into this week of play. They have played 10 games this season, tying with the Cleveland Guardians 12-12 yesterday in a game of 24 runs. Sal Frelick had a home run and three RBIs in the tied game. They also won on Saturday against the Texas Rangers.

Tobias Myers secured his first win of the preseason on Saturday, pitching one scoreless inning with one strikeout. Rhys Hoskins had two home runs, two RBIs, and three hits on three at-bats on the day. William Contreras, Brice Truang, and Joey Ortiz also homered in the win.
