After snapping losing skid, the Orioles aim for just their third winning streak of the season as they face the Angels

Missing the first month of the season with a back injury, Baltimore Orioles veteran right hander Kyle Gibson (0-1, 14.09 ERA) makes his third start of the 2025 campaign on Saturday night against the Los Angeles Angels who have lost 17 of their last 23 games including each of the last two and a 3-5 so far on their 10-game home stand. The Angels will send second-year righty Jack Kochanowicz (1-5, 5.79 ERA) who got roughed up for five runs in a 13-1 loss to Detroit on Sunday and comes into this game having allowed seven home runs in seven starts including one in each of the last four outings.

Leading the team with a .306 batting average, Orioles first baseman Ryan O’Hearn has collected at least one hit in six of his last seven games and is tied with Cedric Mullins for the team lead in home runs with seven in his first 29 games this season. The veteran left-handed hitter is in his third season with Baltimore after five seasons in Kansas City and has posted career highs in home runs and RBIs in his first two years with the Orioles.

Despite being held without a home run in six consecutive games, Angels catcher Logan O’Hoppe is tied for 11th in MLB with his team best nine homers and is one dinger away from his third consecutive season with 10 or more home runs. The 25-year-old West Islip, New York native is five hits shy of 200 for his career.

Baltimore has dominated this series of late winning 18 of the last 23 since May of 2019 and eight of the last 10 at Los Angeles since April of 2022.
