The day after a holiday victory, the Baltimore Orioles continue their six-game road trip on Saturday afternoon when they take on the Atlanta Braves in the second game of their three-game weekend interleague series from Truist Park. The Orioles snapped a two-game road losing streak in Friday’s win and now turn the ball over to veteran right-hander Dean Kremer (7-7. 4.27 ERA) who has allowed just two earned runs over his last three starts opposed by Braves southpaw Aaron Bummer (1-1, 2.86 ERA) who will be making his first career start in Major League Baseball as he is expected to open a bullpen heavy game for Atlanta.

Orioles center fielder Cedric Mullins leads the team with 13 home runs this season after plating the eventual game-winning runs in the fifth inning of Friday’s win with a two-run homer, his first since June 18, snapping a streak of 12 games without a dinger. Mullins, in his eighth season in Baltimore, has hit 13 or more home runs in each of the last five seasons after blasting a career-high 30 in 2021 and comes into Saturday just one homer shy of 100 for his career.

With a pair of hits in Friday’s loss, Braves third baseman Austin Riley pushed his team-leading batting average up to .273 and is now three hits away from his fifth consecutive 100-hit season.
