In his ninth season with Boston, Red Sox designated hitter Rafael Devers is hitting .299 and leads MLB with 47 RBIs after driving in eight runs in Friday’s blowout win over the Orioles. The 29-year-old native of the Dominican Republic belted two home runs including a grand slam as part of the Sox 13-run eighth inning and now comes into Saturday just 15 RBIs away from 700 for his career.

Orioles right fielder Ryan O’Hearn has been a bright spot for a lackluster Baltimore offense hitting .317, ninth best in MLB, having posted five multi-hit efforts in the last seven games including a dazzling 4-for-6 night at the plate in Wednesday night’s 8-4 extra innings win at Milwaukee.

Heading into Saturday, Boston had won seven of the last ten games in this series but Baltimore has won four of the last seven games played at Fenway Park.
