Heston Kjerstad scored one run on an RBI, scoring Ryan O’Hearn, and Baltimore’s second run on an error that led him home.

Baltimore will hand the ball to Tomoyuki Sugano to start this second game of the series. The right-hander is 0-1 this season with a 4.50 ERA is just one previous start. Sugano met the Toronto Blue Jays and lost 3-1. He allowed two earned runs on four hits in just 4.0 completed innings. He walked two batters and struck out just one in the loss.

Right-hander Michael Wacha will get the start for the home team in this game. The Kansas City starting pitcher has also had just one start, finishing with a loss and a 2.25 ERA. He allowed one earned run on four hits in 4.0 innings in a 6-2 loss to the Cleveland Guardians. He walked four and struck out two batters in the game as well.
