Sugano met the Toronto Blue Jays and lost 3-1. He allowed two earned runs on four hits in just 4.0 completed innings. He walked two batters and struck out just one in the loss.

Right-hander Michael Wacha will get the start for the home team in this game. The Kansas City starting pitcher has also had just one start, finishing with a loss and a 2.25 ERA. He allowed one earned run on four hits in 4.0 innings in a 6-2 loss to the Cleveland Guardians. He walked four and struck out two batters in the game as well.
