The Baltimore Orioles look to pick up a big series win over the New York Yankees on Sunday morning. The Orioles took the opener on Friday night 5-3, but were shut out on Saturday afternoon 9-0. The loss was just their third in the last nine games and dropped them to 33-43 on the season. They currently sit in last place in the AL East, six games back of the fourth place Boston Red Sox. They trail the first-place Yankees by 11 games. On Sunday, the Orioles will send Dean Kremer to the mound as they try to get a win in the finale. Kremer is 6-7 with a 4.80 ERA on the season. The Orioles won his last start as he went five innings and gave up just one run on four hits. Kremer would earn the win over the Tampa Bay Rays. The Orioles had lost his previous two starts, but have won three of his last five starts. The Orioles, though, are just 6-9 with Kremer on the mound this season.

The Yankees will counter with Will Warren as they try and win a second straight game and send the Orioles out of town with a loss.

Warren is 4-4 with a 4.83 ERA on the season and is coming off a loss in his last start. He pitched six innings against the Los Angeles Angels. He gave up three runs on six hits in the 4-0 loss.

The Yankees have won six of his previous seven starts, but couldn’t get any offense going in the loss.

The win on Saturday afternoon was their second win in three games, but they are just 2-7 in their last nine. They now sit at 44-32 on the season and are a game and a half up on the Tampa Bay Rays for first place in the AL East.
