How to Watch Padres at Dodgers (June 17): Stream MLB Live, TV Channel

The Los Angeles Dodgers go for their fourth straight win on Tuesday night when they host the rival San Diego Padres.

The Los Angeles Dodgers look to clinch at least a series split when they take on the San Diego Padres on Tuesday night. The Dodgers took the opener 6-3 and have now won three games in a row. They are 6-2 in their last eight games and it has pushed their record to 44-29 on the season. Their last five wins have come against the Padres and San Francisco Giants and has helped push them back into first place in the National League West. They now lead the Giants by 2.5 games and are four up on the Padres.

Shohei Ohtani pitched for the first time since 2023 on Monday. He went one inning and gave up a run, but did hit 100 mph on the radar gun. He also went 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in a pair of runs. The Dodgers still have not announced a starter for the second game of the series. The two teams will play on Wednesday and Thursday, before the Dodgers welcome the Washington Nationals to town to wrap up a long 10-game homestand.

The Padres will turn to Randy Vasquez on the mound as they try to even the series on Tuesday night.

Vasquez is 3-4 with a 3.57 ERA on the season. The Padres have won three of his last four starts despite him not going deep into games.

He has failed to pitch five innings in each of his last two starts. He hasn’t pitched poorly, but he has thrown a lot of pitches.

The loss on Monday was the fourth in the last five games for the Padres and dropped them to 39-32 on the season. They currently sit in third place in the NL West and they are just three games up on the Arizona Diamondbacks.
