Philadelphia’s final game in the series with Miami did not disappoint, as the team had another walk-off to go with Rhys Hoskins’ walk-off in the first game of the series. This time Garrett Stubbs was the hero, smashing a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning for the 3-1 win.
The Nationals are currently in last place in the NL East. They are 23-42 and are 10 games back of Philadelphia and 18.5 games back of the Mets.
They didn’t help themselves by getting blasted by the Braves in their last game. Things started early for Atlanta and the team kept scoring off Nats pitching, getting eight runs on 14 hits with three home runs from Austin Riley twice and Orlando Arcia.
