On Thursday night, the Atlanta Braves will continue their home stand in the series finale, facing the Philadelphia Phillies in the third game of a three-game series at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia. The Braves came away with the win in the first game of the series on Tuesday. It was an up-and-down, back-and-forth ball game that eventually ended 7-3 in Atlanta’s favor. Sean Murphy produced most of the offense for the home team in the win. He blasted one homer with four RBIs and a run on a 2-for-4 night.

The Phillies bounced back yesterday night evening out the series at one piece going into this concluding game. They won the game 4-3 with Jose Alvarado securing his second win of the season in relief fashion. After a Bryce Harper two-run homer to put Philadelphia on top and an Austin Riley solo home run to tie the game for Atlanta, it was Trea Turner who hit a solo homer in the ninth that proved to be the game-winner.

Jesus Luzardo will be back on the mound starting for Philadelphia in his third start of the season. The left-hander was magnificent in his second start, going 7.0 innings scoreless against one of the best-hitting teams in baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers. He allowed just two hits with eight strikeouts in 21 batters faced.

Atlanta will put Spencer Schwellenbach on the mound to start this series finalé game. The right-hander is undefeated this season with a 1-0 record and a 0.00 ERA. In his last start, he was just as good as Luzardo, going 8.0 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits with zero walks and a massive 10 strikeouts against the Miami Marlins.
