San Francisco broke away in the eighth inning on two separate fielder’s choice plays to clinch the game. Casey Schmitt drove home the go-ahead run on a grounder, which brought around Willy Adames to score. It threw away a strong start by Cristopher Sanchez, who went seven strong innings while only giving up one run. The Giants bullpen came up clutch though, not giving up another run across four innings.

Philadelphia will try to get back at the Giants by starting Taijuan Walker, who is 3-5 with a 3.64 ERA. The Giants will have a great shot at winning this series tonight at home because Robbie Ray is the probable starter. Ray is making his second All-Star appearance next week, as he has already accumulated a 9-3 record with a 2.68 ERA.
