Wheeler threw seven innings against the Tampa Bay Rays in his last start, giving up two earned runs on four hits with nine strikeouts.

Cleveland will take its home field with Luis Ortiz on the mound. Ortiz is 2-3 in his 2025 campaign with a 5.30 ERA and 40 strikeouts across a season total of 37.1 innings. The right-hander faced off against the Washington Nationals in his last start. He allowed a season-high five earned runs on five hits with four strikeouts over 5.1 innings pitched.
