The Philadelphia Phillies will continue their four-game series on Wednesday night in the third game on the road this week against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. The Phillies lead the series 2-0 heading into Wednesday. A win here would secure the series for the Phillies. They took the first game on Monday, though they had to come back against the 8-40 team. They scored eight runs in the final three innings to win 9-3. Kyle Schwarber, Alec Bohm and Edmundo Sosa all homered in the win.

Philadelphia doubled down on Tuesday with their second win of the series, 7-4. Jesus Luzardo put on a show, striking out 10 batters and giving up only one run through six innings. Schwarber homered again to tie Shohei Ohtani for the lead in the National League in home runs, while Bryce Harper had a pair of RBIs on three hits.

Taijuan Walker will take the mound for Philadelphia in the third game of this series. The right-hander is getting back into the starting rotation with the injury to Aaron Nola. He is 0-1 this season with a 2.62 ERA while totaling 31 strikeouts in 34.1 innings. Walker last went over five innings at the beginning of May against the Washington Nationals. He gave up one earned run on four hits with two strikeouts.

Colorado will start the game with Carson Palmquist on the mound as the next man up in the rotation. The left-hander is winless in his only start of his 2025 campaign with a massive 11.25 ERA and no strikeouts over four innings. He gave up five earned runs on six hits in a game that ended in an 8-0 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
