    Pittsburgh only scored three runs last night, but they shut out the Angels in the process. Andrew Heaney pitched 6.0 scoreless innings with nine strikeouts in the win. Reynolds hit a sacrifice fly for an RBI to go up 1-0. The fifth inning saw O’Neill Cruz blast a solo home run, while the ninth saw Tommy Pham hit a two-run blast as well.

    Carmen Mlodzinski will get the start for Pittsburgh in the series-closing game. The right-hander is just 1-3 in his 2025 campaign with a 7.41 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 17.0 innings. His last game ended in a 10-7 loss to the Cleveland Guardians. He allowed five earned runs on nine hits with no strikeouts over 4.0 innings.

    Los Angeles will head down the rotation to Tyler Anderson to start the game on the mound. The left-handed pitcher is undefeated this season with a 2-0 record and a 2.08 ERA. He has 21 strikeouts in 21.2 innings. He tossed 6.0 scoreless innings with six strikeouts in a 2-0 win over the San Francisco Giants in his last start.
