The Washington Nationals will look to hand the Pittsburgh Pirates their first loss of the season on Wednesday night.
For the first time in 41 years, the Pittsburgh Pirates have started off the MLB season with a perfect 5-0 record. One of only four remaining undefeated teams, the Pirates will look to continue their streak and continue to extend their lead at the top of the National League Central standings. While the season is still young, the Nationals need to find some momentum and will look to not just put a stop to Pittsburgh’s win streak, but move ahead of the Phillies with a win at home on Wednesday. In the series opener between the two teams, the Pirates earned an 8-4 win at Nationals Park.
