The Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Nationals will conclude their series on Thursday afternoon in Washington D.C.
On Thursday afternoon, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Washington Nationals will complete their three-game series at Nationals Park. The series is currently tied at one game apiece after the Pirates played to an 8-4 win in the first game and the Nationals handed Pittsburgh its first loss of the season in yesterday’s 5-3 victory. The Nationals pitching staff held the Pirates to just four hits in the game with Jack Suwinski leading the offense with two hits and one RBI. Michael Taylor opened the scoring with a two-run single, while Suwinski added a solo shot in the sixth. The team came up short, however, and was forced to take the first loss of the season.
