The Astros were swept in two games by the Tigers in the AL Wild Card Series, with game one finishing 3-1 in favor of Detroit and game two ending in a 5-2 finish. Both games were played at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

The Tigers then went on to lose in five games to the Cleveland Guardians in the ALDS.
