The Rangers will head on the road after enjoying their last two series at home in Arlington, Texas. They swept the Chicago White Sox in three games, but they followed it up by being swept by the Kansas City Royals in the following three games. They bring a 36-39 record into this series, looking to pull back within .500 and possibly catch the Seattle Mariners in the NL West.

Pittsburgh will close out this series with ace Mike Burrows taking the mound. The right-hander is 1-1 in his 2025 campaign with a 4.24 ERA and 25 strikeouts through 23.1 innings. Burrows has been hot lately, allowing just three earned runs over his last three starts. He had totaled 20 strikeouts over 15.0 innings in that stretch.
