The Texas Rangers look to stay hot on Saturday night when they take on the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rangers come into Saturday on a three-game winning streak and fresh off a 5-2 win over the Rays in the series opener on Friday. The Rangers had shutout the Cincinnati Reds by identical 1-0 scores in two straight games and then held the Rays scoreless for the first six innings before they finally gave up two runs in the seventh. It broke a 25-inning scoreless streak, but they still got the win. Saturday the Rangers will hand the ball to Jacob deGrom as they try and clinch the series win. In his first start on Sunday, deGrom looked good as he went five innings without giving up a run. He got a no-decision, but the Rangers were able to get the 3-2 victory. The start against the Boston Red Sox was just his 10th since 2022 as he has been slowed by a bunch of injuries. The Rangers are hoping they can get a full year out of him for the first time since signing him in 2023.

The Rays will start Taj Bradley as they try and get back in the win column after losing two in a row.

They started the season with four wins in five games, but now sit at 4-3 after the consecutive losses.

Bradley pitched well in his first start on Sunday. He went six innings and gave up just two runs in the 5-2 win over the Colorado Rockies.

He gave up five hits, but struck out seven while walking none. Bradley went just 8-11 last season, but looked good in his first start and is trying to build off of that in 2025.
