The Red Sox continued their winning streak in the opener of this series on Friday night. The bats were quiet early – uncharacteristic for this winning streak – but a three-run seventh proved to be the difference in a 4-3 game.

Looking to go up 2-0 in the series, the Red Sox could be getting some help. All-Star third baseman Alex Bregman, who has been out since late May with a quad injury, is expected to be activated from the IL. Bregman was one of the Red Sox’s best hitters to start the season.

Also returning from the IL is rookie starting pitcher Hunter Dobbins. He had a shorter stint with his last appearance coming on June 20.
