The Tampa Bay Rays try to continue their success on Wednesday night when they face the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium.

In recent weeks the Tampa Bay Rays (44-35) have narrowed their gap with the New York Yankees for first place in the American League East. They enter play on Wednesday down just one game in the standings, and can catch the New York Yankees on Wednesday night with a win over the Kansas City Royals (38-41) and some help. It’s an incredible amount of ground they have made up as the Yankees have struggled.
