The Minnesota Twins return from an off day to take on the Boston Red Sox in MLB Spring Training action on Thursday.

In MLB spring training action on Thursday, the Minnesota Twins (9-13) take on the Boston Red Sox (14-9) at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers (which is also the home to the Red Sox’s spring training facility). For the Twins, they’re returning from a day off on Wednesday. This game is the first of six games in six days for the Twins, which represents their final stretch of spring training games before the regular season.

The Twins last played on Tuesday, and lost 6-5 to the Detroit Tigers. Second baseman Edouard Julien went 2-for-4 in that game and drove in a pair of runs.

After the Tigers faced the Twins on Tuesday, they played the Red Sox on Wednesday. The Red Sox won that game 6-4, building on their Grapefruit League leading record. Left fielder Jarren Duran hit a home run for the Red Sox in that game.

A big focus for the Red Sox in spring training this year has been their ‘big three’ prospects – infielder Marcelo Mayer, outfielder Roman Anthony, and utility player Kristian Campbell (who has mainly gotten looks at second base). The Red Sox have been putting all three in the starting lineup more and more as spring training has moved on.
