It was all Miami early as the team took a 2-0 lead by the end of the second inning and a 6-0 lead by the end of the seventh.

    Jesus Sanchez picked up the RBI to get the scoring open, followed by a single RBI from Ronny Simon at the bottom of the order. Eric Wagaman hit a solo home run in the fifth, followed by a three-run homer from Kyle Stowers in the seventh inning. The Reds didn’t get on the board until the eighth inning when Gavin Lux had a two-run home run and Austin Hays had an RBI.

    Nick Martinez will get the start on the mound in the middle game of the series for Cincinnati. The right-hander is winless this season with a 0-3 record and a 6.00 ERA. He has 19 strikeouts in 21.0 innings with 23 conceded hits and four home runs. He gave up three earned runs on seven hits with four strikeouts in 4.2 innings in a 5-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners.

    Miami will start Edward Cabrera on the mound, looking to get his first win of the season. The right-hander is 0-1 this season in two starts with a 6.52 ERA. He has 11 strikeouts in 9.2 innings. His last loss came against the Arizona Diamondbacks after he gave up five earned runs on four hits with six strikeouts over 4.0 innings.
