Nick Lodolo will get the start for Cincinnati and he has been electric this season. He is 2-0 with a 2.12 ERA and 20 strikeouts over 17 innings. The left-hander went 5.0 innings against the Philadelphia Phillies, allowing three runs along with four strikeouts.
San Diego will start the series with starting pitcher Matt Waldron on the mound. The right-hander is 1-2 with a 3.96 ERA and 23 strikeouts over 25.0 innings. He went six innings in a 6-2 win over the Colorado Rockies on the road in his last start. He allowed one run on four hits with five strikeouts in the win.
