On the offensive side, catcher Tyler Stephenson had himself a night. He went 3-for-5 at the plate with a run, a home run, and three RBIs. The rest of the runs and RBIs were spread among the team. Austin Hays, Gavin Lux, Santiago Espinal, and Will Benson had one RBI each to make up Cincinnati’s seven runs. Salvador Perez homered for the Royals with two RBIs as well.

Brady Singer will get the start for Cincinnati on the road in this middle game. The right-hander is 5-3 this season with a 4.88 ERA and 46 strikeouts over 51.2 total innings. The former Royal will be making his debut for his new team back home. He gave up two earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts in his last outing against the Pittsburgh Pirates

He will be facing Daniel Lynch IV, who will take the mound in the first inning for Kansas City. The left-hander is 3-1 in his 2025 campaign with a 1.57 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 23.0 innings. The relief pitcher has made 22 appearances and one start this season. Likely, he will only pitch the first inning to make way for the team’s starter.
