The Braves are coming off a 6-2 victory in the rubber match game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday. Spencer Schwellenbach was special on the mound, throwing his first-career complete game and only giving up five hits and two runs while striking out nine. The Rockies are coming off a thrilling walk-off with Orlando Arcia hitting a two-run single with the bases loaded and two outs. After being down 0-2, Arcia loaded the count against Randy Rodriguez and persevered to become the hero. The Rockies looked down for the count almost the entire game, being down 7-2 at one point. The sweep seemed imminent. But Colorado scored six unanswered runs after the fifth, including three in the ninth inning, to shock the Giants, as it was just Colorado’s 13th win of the season. Colorado will follow that up by starting German Marquez tonight, who is 2-8 with a 7.00 ERA.
