After a dominant first two games on offense, the San Francisco Giants go for the series sweep of the Colorado Rockies on Sunday.
The San Francisco Giants go for their fourth win in a row and a series sweep in the finale against the Colorado Rockies on Sundat. The Rockies have come back down to earth in the first two games of this series after winning seven in a row coming into San Francisco. But Colorado has given up 24 runs in the first two games. The Giants won the series on Saturday by a 14-4 final. The Giants are now just three games below .500. Saturday’s rout came largely from the bat of Luis Matos who hit a three-run homer and he had a career-high six RBIs. Matt Chapman was dominant, also going 4-for-4 and he scored three runs. The Rockies narrowed the score in the sixth to 6-4, but a six-run eighth put the game away for good in part of a 18-hit night for the Giants.

San Francisco will go for the sweep by starting Jordan Hicks. The righty is pitching very well to start the season with a 3-1 record and 2.44 ERA. The Rockies will try to counter with their probable pitcher being Dakota Hudson. But the righty has struggled with his new team going 1-6 with a 6.13 ERA.
The Giants have a chance to earn a tie in second place in the NL West with the San Diego Padres with a win.
