The home team Marlins took the first game of the series yesterday with a one-run win in the 10th inning. Tanner Scott was credited with the win after pitching a scoreless 10th inning for Miami. The Rockies took a 5-0 lead by the end of the first inning with RBIs from Ryan McMahon and Charlie Blackmon and a three-run homer from Elehuris Montero. The game saw no more runs scored until the ninth inning when Miami scored five runs to tie the game. McMahon hit an RBI double to put Colorado up 6-5 heading into the bottom of the 10th inning. In the bottom of the 10th, Bryan De La Cruz hit an RBI double to tie the game, followed by a walk-off single from Dane Myers to score De La Cruz.

Dakota Hudson will get the start for Colorado on the road in this game. The right-hander is winless this season at 0-4 with a 6.57 ERA and 16 strikeouts over 24.2 innings. His last start ended in a 10-9 win over San Diego despite him giving up six earned runs in just 3.1 innings with four strikeouts.
Roddery Munoz will start his second game of the season tonight for Miami. The right-hander pitched one start this season that ended in a 5-3 loss on the road against the Chicago Cubs. He went five innings, giving up two earned runs with seven strikeouts and one walk on two hits. He will look to improve on that outing tonight.
