The San Diego Padres look to clinch a series win on Saturday night when they play the Colorado Rockies. The Padres shutout the Rockies in the series opener on Friday 8-0. It was their second straight win and fourth in the last five games. They now sit at 11-3 on the season and it has them in first place in the NL West by a half game over the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants. They have yet to lose at home this year as they have won their first eight games on their own field. Saturday they will look to keep that streak going when they send Kyle Hart to the mound. Hart comes into Saturday 1-0 on the season, but he has a bloated 11.12 ERA. He pitched five innings in his first start against the Cleveland Guardians, but made it just two-thirds of an inning against the Chicago Cubs. He gave up five runs on two hits and walked four last Sunday against the Cubs and is looking to be much better on Saturday.

The Rockies, though, are hoping to do what the Cubs did as they try and avoid a second straight loss.

The Rockies came to San Diego fresh off a 7-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers, but with the loss on Friday they have now dropped 10 of their first 13 games of the season.

Saturday they will send Chase Dollander to the mound. He comes into Saturday 1-0 with a 7.20 ERA.

He has made just one start this year and he went five innings and gave up four runs to earn the win over the Athletics.
