Bobby Witt Jr. and Adam Frazier each drove in two runs, while Salvador Perez went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Perez drove in Witt Jr. in the first inning for his 1,013th RBI of his career. That moved Perez ahead of Hal McRae for second in franchise history. George Brett is still Kansas City’s all-time RBI leader with 1,596. The game was close in the fifth when center fielder Bryce Teodosio hit a two-run bomb to get within one. But the Angels weren’t able to score again until the ninth inning when Taylor Ward and Jo Adell both hit solo shots.

Los Angeles will try to rebound by starting Yusei Kikuchi, who is 6-11 with a 4.05 ERA. The Royals will go for the series win by starting Stephen Kolek, who is 5-6 with a 3.54 ERA.
