The Diamondbacks won the first two games of their series against the San Francisco Giants, but are coming off back-to-back losses in the four-game series. Arizona is coming off a 7-2 loss on Thursday that tied up the series against their division rival. Robbie Ray was just too dominant for the Giants throwing a complete game. The veteran only gave up two runs while striking out seven. The first was a homer to Eugenio Suarez in the fifth, and then another was a solo shot to Ketel Marte in the ninth. It was Ray’s first complete game since 2017. Arizona will try to pick up the pieces by starting Eduardo Rodriguez on Friday who is 6-6 with a 2.25 ERA.

After losing 3-2 on Wednesday, the Royals won 3-2 on Thursday to tie the four-game series against the Mariners. Vinnie Pasquantino was the hero of the game for KC hitting a two-run single in the seventh to give the Royals the lead they wouldn’t look back from. The Royals scored all of their runs in the seventh inning, after Bobby Witt Jr. got the offense rolling with a RBI single. Kansas City will try to keep it rolling on this road trip by starting Kris Bubic tonight who is 3-4 with a 5.13 ERA.
