The red-hot Kansas City Royals open a 3-game weekend series with the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night

The Kansas City Royals (17-15) have won three straight and nine of their last 10 as they open a three-game series at Oriole Park at Camden Yards against the Baltimore Orioles (12-18) on Friday night in Baltimore. The Orioles had Thursday off after taking two of three from the New York Yankees to open their six-game homestand and come into the game with the worst run differential in the American League at minus-49. Kansas City sent left-hander Noah Cameron back to Triple-A Omaha on Thursday after he took a no-hitter into the seventh inning of his major-league debut on Wednesday and brought up right-handed reliever Taylor Clarke.
