The Giants erased an early two-run deficit to tie the game in the top of the sixth and looked primed to win in the ninth after taking the lead in the top half of the inning. The Phillies had other plans as they tied the game in the bottom of the inning.
San Francisco responded right back with two in the top of the 10th and then held on in the bottom to win.
The Giants were coming off a series loss to the Reds and needed a win and now can pull even on their current road trip.
Philadelphia is looking to stop them as it tries to snap out of its funk on Tuesday. The Phillies have now lost four in a row, won just four times in the last 15 games, and have fallen to 21-28.
