The Atlanta Braves look to snap a two-game losing streak on Friday night when they host the Minnesota Twins.
The Atlanta Braves begin a six-game homestand on Friday night when they take on the Minnesota Twins. The Braves are coming off a six-game road trip in which they went 2-4 against the Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays. It has not been a good start to the season for the Braves, as they are just 5-13 and they have yet to win consecutive games. They are 3-2 at home this year and they are hoping they can start to turn things around during this homestand.
The Braves will send Bryce Elder to the mound in the opener on Friday. Elder is 0-1 with a 7.20 ERA on the season. Elder lasted just four innings in his first start, a loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. He gave up three runs and three hits. In his last start a week ago he went six innings, but gave up five runs and nine hits in a loss to the Rays.

The Twins will counter with Chris Paddack as they go for a third straight win. Paddack has not been good so far as he comes into Friday 0-2 with a 9.49 ERA.
He did pitch much better in his last start, as he went five innings and gave up just two runs and two hits. The Twins didn’t give him any run support, though, and they lost 4-0.
The Twins come into Friday 7-12 on the season, but they have won two in a row. They took two of three from the New York Mets at home for their second series win of the season.
They have won three of four after they had dropped six of seven. They currently sit in fourth place in the AL Central, a game back of the Kansas City Royals.
