Arenado was a huge reason the Cardinals won on Thursday 5-3 on Opening Day. The third baseman hit a homer in the eighth to give the Cardinals some cushion. Instead he decided to sign in KBO League with the NC Dinos where he went 20-6 with a 2.00 ERA. That invigorated his career enough to start last season with the Chicago White Sox. At the end of July he was acquired along with Tommy Pham and went 9-9 in 2024 with a 3.30 ERA. The redemption with the Cardinals continues. Joe Ryan will give the Twins a great chance to tie this series Saturday. The Twins righty went 7-7 in his fourth season in Minnesota with a 3.60 ERA. This is the only time Minnesota and St. Louis will play all season.
