The Twins won the first game of the series 12-6 on the back of a rallying pitching performance from rookie Zebby Matthews. He allowed four earned runs, but he threw seven strikeouts over seven innings as well. Trevor Larnach went 4-for-6 at the plate with a home run and four RBIs. However, Willi Castro went 2-for-3 with three runs, two home runs, and three RBIs.

Chris Paddack will head to the mound to start this game for Minnesota. The right-hander is looking for his third win of the season, going into this start with a 2-5 record. In 11 starts, he has a 3.92 ERA and 40 strikeouts over 57.1 innings. He gave up two earned runs on five hits with five strikeouts in his last start against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Seattle will close out this three-game series with one of its aces on the mound. Logan Evans has only one loss this season with a 3-1 record and a 2.83 ERA. He also had 25 strikeouts over 35 innings. The right-hander went 8.0 innings in his last start, giving up just one earned run on four hits against the Washington Nationals with four strikeouts.
