The win pushed the Cubs to 27-19 on the season and kept them in first place in the NL Central. The Cubs got nine hits and a home run from Dansby Swanson to get the win. Sunday, they will look to stay hot when they send Colin Rea to the mound in the finale. Rea has been good for the Cubs this year and comes into Sunday 3-0 with a 2.48 ERA. The Cubs have won seven of his last eight starts. Rea went six and two-thirds innings in his last start and gave up two runs on six hits to pick up his third win of the season. Rea has given up two or fewer runs in eight of his nine appearances this season.

The White Sox will turn to Jonathan Cannon as they try to avoid the sweep on Sunday afternoon at Wrigley Field.

Cannon comes into Sunday 2-4 with a 3.60 ERA. He was great in his last start as he went six innings of no-run ball against the Cincinnati Reds. He did not earn a decision, though, as the game went into extra innings. The White Sox would win the game 5-1.

It was their third win in his last four starts after losing each of his first five starts. Overall, they are just 3-6 with Cannon on the mound this season.

The loss on Saturday was the third in a row for the White Sox and dropped them to 14-32 on the season and has them in last place in the AL Central.
